Part of the Human Body System
The endocannabinoid system is the greatest scientific discovery in recent years, discovered by Israeli researcher Dr. Raphael Mechoulam in the mid-1990s. It is a system responsible for homeostasis of the body which is the only prerequisite for good health. The term homeostasis is considered to represent the maintenance of the constant physiological conditions in the internal environments of cells by the mechanisms of enzymatic, hormonal and nervous nature, and allows normal metabolism, use of oxygen from the atmosphere, adequate nutrition and proper excretion of waste products.
Endocannabinoid system - system for molecular signaling that regulates how the body feels and regulates pain, stress, hunger, fatigue, blood pressure, body temperature, bone density, fertility, bowel function, mood, metabolism, memory retention, and more.
Anandamide and 2-AG (2-arachinodyl glyceride) are the two basic cannabinoid compounds in the human body and are a part of a natural cellular communication system that stimulates the body's cannabinoid CB1 and CB2 receptors causing an immune response in the form of reducing inflammation, muscle relaxation, lowering blood pressure, cerebral blood flow and the flow of thoughts. Cannabidiol substance from cannabis plants ideally imitates and resembles the body endocannabinoids able to activate cannabinoid receptors.
